What is Going on Recently at SupremeBass,May 8, 2010.
Recent NEWS- Bass continuing to bite well.. Many large fish caught recently including a 9.5 pound post spawn female, released unharmed. Fairly good top water action, morning and late afternoon, good all day on overcast days. Worms still the king, and frogs doing well also.
Three NEW TEXAS STATE RECORDS CAUGHT in PRIVATE WATERS CATEGORY. First, Keaton May landed a very nice Rainbow in the Junior division, that weighed in at seven pounds thirteen ounces. Great job Keaton, fish caught on a Mepps Spinner rod & reel. In the adult division, Bill Hoot smashed his own state record rainbow, fly fishing a #6 Wolly Booger. Bill's latest Rainbow weighed in at 9.43 pounds on our certified scales, exceeding his two week old Texas State Record by 1.75 pounds. GO BILL! On April 2nd, Matthew Stokely, age nine, fishing near his dad and sister caught a new Texaws State Record Bluegill. It weighed in @ one .34 pounds, exceeding the old record by nearly one and one half ounces. Best of all, Matt is a "True Fisherman" since he told his dad and I that he had just lost one even bigger. Go Matthew.
Second Supplemental Bass Stocking due in August. Several hundred mature bass that have never seen a lure, along with the 500 we placed in the Spring. You want to have member access for Sept. 1st, with all the newly stocked bass and the fact we will have been closed to all fishing during July & August the fishing will be fantastic.
NEW DEVELOPMENT- Tilapia coming this week. Three to a pound, these forage fish will dramatically fatten the hungry bass for the fall, 2010. 600 pounds being stocked on Wednesday.
Surface Water Temp. 68 degrees. Bass very active. hitting worms, frogs, baby brush hogs, flukes, pop r's. .

All lakes full pool, water clear, water running thru. Several new brush piles placed in both larger lakes in water around 8 to 10 foot in depth.
Use of bait, other than artificial lures/flies is limited to children. Only exception is for adults fishing in Lago De Pescadoes Grande. As of today, SupremeBass members have had (twelve) Texas State fish records certified in the last 24 months, ten are current records that have not been broken. Sixcurrent Texas State Records via fly fishing. Please, come out and see our new on site office next to the barn. All Texas State Record fish photos from SupremeBass will be on wall display, along with various local newspaper articles done on SupremeBass. Recent article by Ray Sasser, Dallas Morning News says that SupremeBass is an "incredible value for the money".

New SupremeBass hospitality office will have refrigerator with cold drinks during June. Also, the host trailer offers a place to get out of the rain during that quick Summer Shower.
